Download - Content (cars/tracks)
|Home||Cars and tracks and tools.|
Software and content are 2 different things; the software is
the game engine, content are the cars & tracks. Below are a bunch of links
of site dealing with Racer content.
Most cars come as a .zip or a .exe file. Unzip the files into the data/cars/ subdirectory of Racer's installation directory (i.e. 'c:\sims\racer\data\cars'). Make sure the cars are in their own directory (i.e. 'data/cars/fer312'). Racer will automatically pick up on these.
|XtremeRacers (Spanish)||Over 100 tracks and over 100 cars, mods, skins, tuning... It is in Spanish but doable for the non-Spanish speaking I guess.|
|Tracciontrasera||Spanish site with ~400 tracks & cars. With the ability to upload your own models.|
|Racer Downloads||Aiming to be a long-lasting reference site for the future; has a few (linked) cars & tracks & utilities currently.|
|Racer Xtreme||Another great place to look for loads of tracks & cars for Racer.|
|IRoker||A place to look for tracks & cars for Racer. Also allows submitting cars by users themselves.|
|JJT Tuning||Car.ini files for BMW330, Ferrari P4...|
|The Racer Pitstop||Lateral G calculator and Datsun 240Z.|
Other useful sites
|Audio track guides||A site with audio guides to learn tracks. Based on track commentary, you get to know the track's corner names.|
Small extras for Racer.
|RPM dial||The 3D Studio Max R3 object (.max) I used to create the RPM and km/h dials|
|Menu movie||A movie for the menu (AVI, Windows only probably, 11Mb)|
